What would you do?
Database Management and Maintenance
- Maintain and configure database systems (i.e. MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, NoSQL Database)
- Apply security patches, updates and version upgrades as needed
Performance Tuning and Optimisation
Monitor database performance, optimise queries, indexes and storageAnalyse slow queries and improve database performanceOptimise indexing and partitioningDatabase Design and Implementation
Implement database best practice and security policyCollaborate with software developers and system architects to ensure database designs are efficient, scalable and optimisedSecurity and Compliance
Implement security controls and enforce database security policies (i.e. Access control, encryption, audit logging, secure connection)Conduct periodic backup and restoration testsEnsure compliance with industry standards (i.e. BNM, PCIDSS, SOC 2, PDPA)Support security audits and vulnerability assessmentsTroubleshooting and Incident Management
Investigate and resolve database issues quicklyPerform root cause analysis for database failuresProvide technical support and assistance for database‑related queriesCapacity Planning and Scaling
Forecast database storage and performance needsForecast event‑based database usage, needs and costOptimise database costs in cloud environmentsAutomation and Scripting
Automate routine DBA tasks (monitoring, failover, backup, restoration, maintenance)Automate approval and account creationWho should join us?
Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, database management, or a related fieldProfessional cloud certification on DBAExperience
Proven 3‑year experience in a DBA or SRE related to DBA experienceIn‑depth knowledge of MySQL database management systems and associated toolsSkills
