Overview
Infinite Mindcare, located in Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands, is a licensed, multi-specialty outpatient counseling center also offering programs for addictions, first responders, and corporations.
We are seeking a full-time, experienced, licensed, Psychiatrist and / or Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to work at our thriving practice.
Responsibilities
- Performs psychiatric assessments as well as ordering, interpreting, and evaluating diagnostic tests
- Diagnoses mental illness and interprets data to facilitate treatment plans
- Prescribes medication for treatment of patients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders; provides psychopharmacologic medicine management and counseling for patients
- Provides continued medication, medication monitoring, patient education, and refers patients to hospitals as their treatment or condition warrants
- Coordinates various phases of treatment with other health care providers
- Keeps abreast of current developments in patient care management, health care legislation, and community resources
- Capacity for self direction
- Direct and coordinate care with other service providers to enhance treatment outcome
- Participate in multiple yearly events to promote mental health awareness and advocacy in the community

Requirements
Medical Degree and fully qualified and registered as a PsychiatristORMaster’s Degree from a Nurse Practitioner education program (with specialization in mental health); licensure as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with the ability / experience to prescribe independentlyAt least 2 years post-licensure relevant experience requiredEligibility for registration with the Cayman Islands Medical Board and / or Health Regulatory Council (CPAM)Licenses from Jamaica, USA, Canada, UK, South Africa, Australia acceptedAbility to work with both teens and adultsExperience working with diverse cultural populationsExperience working with first responders is preferredMust be personable and relatableExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to foster teamwork; train and direct the work of team members and colleaguesExcellent organizational skills, including the ability to work productively and make independent decisionsMaintain documentation in a timely manner using our EHR platform, Dr. ChronoProfessional references, CEU certificates, and graduate school transcripts will be part of the interview process.
