Simulation Engineer (Thermal)

Provide analytical support and thermal / structural / mechanical characterization for existing and new products.

Handle all aspects of thermal simulation, thermal design, including proposal support, conceptual and preliminary / detailed design, materials selection, and manufacturing for new product developments and continuous improvement of existing products.

Responsible for establishing thermal specification, defining thermal design methodologies, analysis and testing requirements based on customer requirements and executing the implementation of technical methods to facilitate the requirements.

Work closely with design team for thermal design solution, assign project / job respective engineers based on given specifications and follow up on the simulation schedules.

Responsible to train junior engineers and ensure all engineers equipped with required thermal design knowledge

Ensuring products achieve quality, feature set, cost, schedule, reliability, mechanical and regulatory / safety goals.

Develop and improve analytical techniques, processes and build up analysis database for new products.

Ensure all project deliverables are completed in a timely manner.

Carry out any other responsibilities as and when assigned by the Management.

Minimum Qualification

• Master Degree in Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineering or Thermal Engineering
• Strong knowledge of fluid dynamics and heat transfer fundamentals, preferably thermal management background with 3 or more years relevant working experience.
• Strong expertise in using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) or other thermal simulation tools
• Experience with Thermal Control Units (TCU) is highly desired
• Experience in Mechanical Design & Analysis : Proficiency in Solidworks & Ansys
• Strong computational modeling and simulation experience with working knowledge of basic engineering calculations and principles
• Independent, self-motivated, keen learner and ability to work independently as well as in cross-functional teams
• Good communication, Interpersonal and Leadership skills.
