The Associate Professor in Psychology will provide academic leadership in teaching, research, and supervision. The role involves delivering advanced courses, guiding postgraduate students, and leading high-impact research in psychology. The successful candidate is expected to secure research funding, publish in indexed journals, mentor junior faculty, and contribute to curriculum development and professional practice. Strong collaboration with industry, professional bodies, and the community is also essential to support the growth of the programme and the university’s academic reputation.

Responsibilities

Teach and supervise in advanced areas such as cognitive psychology, developmental psychology, personality, and research methods.

Supervise Master’s and PhD research in psychology.

Lead funded research projects and publish in international journals.

Contribute to professional networks and psychological associations.

Promote ethical practice and critical inquiry across psychology teaching and research.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

PhD in the relevant field of Psychology.

Proven track record of scholarly publications in indexed journals.

Demonstrated ability to secure competitive research grants.

Strong postgraduate supervision experience (Master’s and / or PhD).

Preferred Qualifications

Excellent teaching evaluations and evidence of curriculum leadership.
