What is the opportunity?
Do you thrive in working in an interactive team environment? Are you a quick learner of systems, have strong organizational, time‑management, analytical, written and spoken communication skills? As an Analyst in our Credit and Transaction Management team you will partner with various internal stakeholders to manage the Global Credit Portfolio. As the successful incumbent you will work on multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, develop a framework to identify specific areas of focus, evaluate possible efficiencies and provide recommendations to streamline credit‑related processes. You will also collaborate with other groups within Capital Markets and the Bank to deliver a full range of credit and banking services to multinational and large corporate relationships.
What will you do?
Responsibilities
- Complete Annual Reviews of existing credit relationships, ensuring they are completed timely and with high quality of work.
- Review credit agreement terms to ensure they are correctly reflected in the Bank’s systems and that all credit documentation is accounted for and reviewed on a timely basis (e.g., credit agreements, amendments, waivers, security documents).
- Monitor receipt of reporting requirements outlined in credit agreements for a Global Credit portfolio. Liaise directly with Agent Banks, Ratings and Monitoring teams, Corporate Banking and other stakeholders to investigate overdue compliance reporting items and coordinate escalations to Group Risk Management and Account Management teams as required.
- Ensure data integrity on assigned accounts by keeping bank systems up‑to‑date with all relevant changes, appropriate support and approvals.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify specific areas for efficiency evaluation and provide recommendations to streamline credit processes.
- Maintain credit, transactional and trading limits in the bank systems. Submit and approve administrative transaction requests as required and permitted under delegated authorities provided by the Chief Risk Officer.
- Identify and elevate deteriorating situations in ongoing portfolio monitoring. Where possible, recommend a course of action to stakeholders.
- Execute other projects and assignments as required, including portfolio and / or audit‑related reviews that demand analytical, research, strategic and problem‑solving skills. Complete ad‑hoc projects and related duties to support the team’s planned and unplanned demands.
Working as part of a centralized team supporting different regions will require flexibility around work timings to enable necessary engagement with functional and global stakeholders—including early‑morning or late‑evening / night meetings on some days. Initially, a greater overlap with stakeholders in Canada is required while the employee is under training (typically until the end of shift at 8 pm or 9 pm). Where business demands require shifting the work schedule to enable greater overlap with supported regions, the department lead will formalise the arrangement with the team.
