Job Description
We are looking for a skilled and experienced SAP Security Consultant to join our global SAP Security and Authorisations Team.
In this role, you will be responsible for the design, maintenance, and continuous improvement of authorisation concepts across our SAP system landscape – including ECC, S / 4HANA, and other SAP solutions used throughout the Würth Group.
Your expertise will ensure that authorisation structures remain scalable, efficient, and aligned with both regulatory and internal compliance standards.
Responsibilities
- Design & Maintain : Develop and manage SAP authorisation concepts across the global SAP landscape (over 30 systems, including S / 4HANA).
- Access Control : Administer and review user access, role definitions, and segregation‑of‑duties (SoD) controls.
- Role Frameworks : Refine and standardise authorisation structures across modules to ensure consistency, compliance, and scalability.
- Project Support : Define, test, and document authorisation requirements in global SAP implementation and rollout projects.
- Incident Resolution : Analyse and resolve service requests and issues related to SAP security and authorisations.
- Collaboration : Work closely with functional and technical teams to align role concepts with business process requirements.
- Automation & Integration : Support initiatives to automate role provisioning and streamline authorisation processes.
- Compliance Assurance : Conduct regular user and role reviews to ensure adherence to audit and security policies.
- Documentation & Training : Maintain detailed documentation, provide internal training, and contribute to knowledge‑sharing efforts within the global team.
- Global Cooperation : Collaborate effectively with international colleagues across different regions within a global project and support environment.
Qualifications
Education & Experience : Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a related field, with at least 3 years of professional experience in SAP Security or Authorisation Management.SAP Security Expertise : Strong knowledge of SAP authorisation transactions (PFCG, SU01, SUIM, SU24, SU53, etc.) and experience in developing and implementing authorisation concepts and role designs.System Understanding : Solid understanding of SAP system architecture and cross‑module integration.Functional Knowledge : Knowledge of standard SAP processes across all modules; experience in SAP FI is particularly advantageous.Technical Skills : Ability to analyse ABAP code for authorisation checks and familiarity with automation or identity‑management solutions.Documentation Skills : Proven ability to document processes, solutions, and procedures in a structured and accessible way.Problem‑Solving : Strong analytical skills, solution orientation, and a structured working style.Communication : Excellent communication skills in English; German language skills are a strong advantage.Flexibility : Willingness to travel internationally on occasion for project, support, or training assignments.Customer Orientation : Ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels and deliver practical, value‑driven support.Join Us
