About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Supply Chain Assistant to join our team at MICRODRIVE INDUSTRIAL SDN. BHD. in Simpang Ampat, Penang. This full-time position is a crucial part of our manufacturing and logistics operations, responsible for supporting the smooth flow of materials and supplies throughout our supply chain.

What you'll be doing

  • Assisting with the procurement and purchasing of raw materials, components, and other supplies to meet production needs
  • Assist in preparing, filing, and maintainingprocurement, inventory, and logistics reports
  • Maintaining accurate inventory records and coordinating with relevant teams to ensure stock levels are optimised
  • Processing purchase orders, invoices, and other supply chain-related documentation
  • Collaborating with suppliers and logistics providers to ensure timely delivery of goods
  • Identifying opportunities to improve supply chain efficiency and making recommendations to management
  • Providing administrative support to the supply chain and logistics teams as needed

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a supply chain, logistics, or purchasing role, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an eye for detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proficient in using supply chain management software and Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of inventory management principles and supply chain best practices
  • A team player with a proactive and adaptable approach to work
  • Language : Chinese (Mandarin) preferred
