We are Ryt Bank a joint venture between YTL and the SEA Group, proudly awarded as one of the five digital banking license winners by BNM in Malaysia. As a member of our team, you will play a key role in shaping the future of digital banking, using AI to enhance the banking experience for Malaysians. Our team is made up of experienced digital banking and fintech innovators, excited to bring our expertise to YTL-Sea Digital Bank Project, as we continue to drive impactful innovation.

About the role :

Our engineering team is the heart and soul of our digital bank project . We are dedicated to building and maintaining the robust application services that power our innovative financial solutions. We embrace a product-centric mindset and continuously strive for excellence in engineering practices.

We are a team of dedicated engineers looking for talented junior to mid-level developers who share our passion for building a digital bank that genuinely meets the needs of Malaysians. Here, every engineer is empowered to have a voice in shaping the product, contributing insights and ideas that actively drive our vision forward. As part of our cross-functional engineering team, you will contribute to the development and refinement of microservices, the core components that drive our digital bank.

Key Responsibilities

  • Building distributed systems that communicate internally and externally mainly based on REST and messaging
  • Participating in discussion, architecting and implementing event-driven architecture.
  • Work closely with team members to achieve incremental milestones

Who we're seeking

  • Got a MyKad? You’re our type! Currently, we’re hiring Malaysians only.
  • Good understanding on Java or any other OOP concept
  • Good understanding on messaging such as Kafka
  • Good understanding on relational and non-relational databases
  • Good understanding on web APIs with reasonable complexities
  • Good understanding of containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes .
  • Curiosity for continuous learning and improvement
  • At least 2+ years of experience building and developing software would be preferred
