Middleware Engineer (JBoss, Weblogic, IBM MQ)

Join our team at HCL Technologies Malaysia SDN BHD as a full-time Build Automation Consultant - Linux based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of our middleware infrastructure, ensuring the seamless operation of our critical business systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain build automation scripts for JBoss, Weblogic, and MQ-based applications.
• Ensure continuous integration and deployment (CI / CD) pipelines for middleware applications.
• Work on Kafka messaging setup, optimization, and performance tuning.
• Support RHEL-based applications and middleware components in pre-production and production environments.
• Monitor and troubleshoot Weblogic, JBoss, MQ, and Kafka services for stability and performance.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and performance tuning for application servers.
• Manage and optimize Oracle / MySQL databases for application performance.
• Write and troubleshoot SQL queries, stored procedures, and indexing strategies.
• Develop Unix shell scripts for system monitoring, automation, and log analysis.
• Configure and optimize system resources (CPU, Memory, Disk I / O) on Linux servers.
• Implement file system permissions, security policies, and access control mechanisms.
• Provide L3-level technical support for build failures, middleware issues, and database connectivity problems.
• Investigate and resolve complex system integration and deployment issues.
• Work closely with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth deployments.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, deployment guides, and troubleshooting playbooks.
• Identify and implement automation opportunities to enhance operational efficiency.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives for build and deployment automation.
