What will you do?

Safety, Health & Environment

  • Management ambassador for all management safety, health and environment policies, direction and values.
  • Lead investigation for any accident / incident / near miss to identify the root cause and propose corrective / preventive actions.
  • Ensure all work complies with Department Of Safey & Health requirement / regulations.
  • Conduct risk assessment for HIRADC and EAEI.
  • Ensure safe workplace environment for employees at all the time.

Quality Management

  • Coach and assist the team on the technical related to the Quality Monitoring Scheme to ensure manufacturing process meeting the expectation on the food safety & quality aspects of control.
  • Audit and verify team's compliance with food safety regulations and requirements in HACCP, GMP, HALAL, ISO 9001 and FSSC 22000 by performing regular inspections, verifications, audits and maintaining precise documentation.
  • Ensure that machineries operate efficiently and operation meeting with the quality requirements.
  • Supply Management

  • Manage and coach the mechanical team on daily maintenance routine ; maintenance planning, spare part inventory control to ensure production able to meet the require runtime.
  • Analyse and work out the corrective or preventive action on any deviation or machine breakdown that impacted the daily production output ; downtime in the relevant documents and files inclusive of routine meeting information board ; Daily Operation Review (DOR).
  • Lead the team on the coordination with the Production Team in developing and execution with the production planning to include preventive maintenance program, planned downtime or annual shutdown.
  • Lead the team in identifying and resolving downtime, such as breakdown, machine running lower than declared nominal rate and equipment malfunctions.
  • Lead the team and coordinate with suppliers for critical spare parts and services.
  • Lead the team to carry out the diagnosis of complex mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic failures, etc., swiftly to minimize production disruption.
  • Cost Management

  • Analyse and verify the routine check and monitor for the machine parts and maintenance consumables purchase and usage.
  • Ensure team performing routine monitoring for inventory management i.e. spare parts stock count, consumption, reconciliation, material transfer.
  • People Management

  • Maintains industrial harmony and ensures compliance to all labour laws related.
  • Audit and verify the routine approval on the peoples' leave and overtime to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Lead the team people related issue i.e. disciplinary issue, training, career progression, talent development and coaching.
  • Coach the technicians' team, providing on-the-job training and fostering a culture of continuous improvement in safe work practice, equipment protocols, and food hygiene standards.
  • Lead the team to coordinate daily maintenance tasks and shift handovers.
  • General Management

  • Ensure team attend and contribute to relevant meeting related to the individual production line.
  • Lead, anticipate and analyse potential technical problems by taking proactive action to resolve problems and escalation before its' result in incompliance / loss time injury / process deviation / food safety issue / quality issue / equipment failure / short supply / losses / complaint / damage company reputation.
  • Lead and coach the team in develop, maintain and improve the Preventive Maintenance Program to ensure safety, quality, efficiency and cost meeting the requirements.
  • Lead the team to perform advanced troubleshooting, repair and preventive maintenance on production machinery (e.g., fillers, sealers, conveyors, pumps, PLC, etc) within an hour after receiving the Work Order.
  • Extended troubleshooting hours shall be treated as critical cases and escalated following the SNFM Escalation Process.
  • Prepare the necessary information for performance report and analyse the downtime information or data to identify the issue or area for improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Safety, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, Production, Engineering, Store, Project) to to enhance equipment efficiency, reduce waste and improve product quality as a MBU leader.
  • Encourages team in participates in the implementation of any continuous improvement / project / new product development / trial / audit related to individual production line.
  • Report to superior for any abnormality or non-compliance action / activity.
  • Perform any task that assign by the management.
  • Lead the team and propose design modifications for equipment reliability and hygiene (e.g., material upgrades to SS316, improving cleanability, efficiency, etc).
  • Lead the team and implement Lean / TPM initiatives to boost Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
  • Lead the team and manage the inventory of mechanical spare parts to ensure cost efficiency.
  • Provide on-call support for breakdowns outside regular hours.
  • Lead the team and maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including equipment settings and production data.
  • Lead the team and work with other team members, such as quality assurance personnel and production supervisors, to address production issues.
  • Lead the team and assist with the setup and operation of machinery and equipment for specific production runs.
  • Lead the team to carry out installation, commissioning, and validation of new mechanical equipment.
  • Lead the team, design and execute plant upgrades, ensuring compliance with food safety (e.g., hygienic design) and energy efficiency standards.
  • Analyse equipment performance data (OEE, MTBF) to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain equipment manuals, maintenance logs and engineering drawings for machineries.
  • Prepare reports on equipment performance, maintenance costs and project progress.
  • Liaise with local and international vendors for parts procurement and services.
  • Supervise contractors during installations / repairs, ensuring safety and quality.
  • Recommend automation solutions to enhance productivity.
  • About you?

  • Degree in Engineering and / or minimum of 5 years' experience in manufacturing environment.
  • Experience & knowledge in ISO 9001, HACCP, FSSC 22000, GMP & SAP.
  • Computer literature and well verse with Microsoft Ofiice.
  • Strong leadership skill, analytical and communication skill with management and supervisory experience.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems, and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues effectively.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and guidelines, and the ability to follow them.
  • Familiar and experience in using problem solving tools.
