Halal & Quality Assurance Manager

Overview

Lead and manage the company’s Halal Assurance System (HAS) in full compliance with JAKIM MS1500 standards. Oversee all Halal certification, renewal, and audit processes for outlets, central kitchens, and suppliers. Obtain, maintain, and renew Halal certificates for all operating outlets. Review, verify, and update supplier Halal certificates, raw material masterlists, and ingredient traceability documents. Ensure zero compromise on Halal integrity in procurement, raw material handling, storage, preparation, cooking, packaging, and service. Act as the company’s official liaison with JAKIM and other relevant authorities for Halal matters. Train, guide, and monitor Halal Committee members, Persons-in-Charge (PICs), and outlet teams to ensure compliance with Halal SOPs. Conduct and validate Halal audits in outlets and supplier facilities, ensuring full traceability and corrective action implementation. Create, implement, and maintain company, outlet, and product quality standards aligned with HACCP, GMP, and GHP. Develop and enforce food safety SOPs, audit checklists, inspection protocols, and CAPA procedures. Lead quarterly and surprise audits across outlets and central kitchens to verify compliance with company and regulatory standards. Coordinate with Operations to strengthen hygiene practices, pest control programs, handwashing enforcement, and Clean-As-You-Go (CAYG) culture. Manage and validate QA / QC-related procedures, ensuring timely revisions, updates, and documentation control. Investigate, troubleshoot, and communicate all issues related to product quality, food safety, and regulatory non-compliance. Standardize product quality monitoring including shelf-life studies, sensory evaluation, raw material inspection, and packaging compliance. Ensure all raw materials (food and non-food) procured by internal departments meet approved standards and supplier requirements.
