Role Overview

The Export Manager will be responsible for driving international sales growth and expanding the company’s presence in targeted global markets. The role is critical in developing export strategies, managing overseas distributors, ensuring regulatory compliance, and enhancing profitability through efficient supply chain coordination and strategic partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute export sales strategies to achieve business growth objectives across multiple international markets.
  • Identify and evaluate potential distributors, agents, and strategic partners in new and existing territories.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research to analyze consumer trends, competitor activities, pricing strategies, and trade regulations affecting export operations.
  • Manage and strengthen relationships with overseas distributors, ensuring effective communication, contract compliance, and sales performance.
  • Oversee export documentation, customs clearance, and regulatory requirements in accordance with international trade laws.
  • Coordinate closely with production, logistics, and finance teams to ensure timely order fulfillment, cost efficiency, and smooth export operations.
  • Monitor sales performance by region and provide regular analysis, forecasts, and market intelligence to management.
  • Participate in international trade fairs, exhibitions, and business missions to promote brand visibility and explore new business opportunities.
  • Ensure adherence to product registration, labeling, and quality standards required by each importing country.
  • Lead initiatives to expand the product range and adapt marketing strategies suitable for different markets and cultural contexts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in export or international sales management, preferably within the FMCG or food manufacturing sector.
  • Proven track record in developing and managing export markets, distributors, and international business networks.
  • Strong knowledge of export regulations, trade documentation, and international logistics.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify market opportunities and formulate strategic plans.
  • Proficiency in English is essential; additional language skills will be an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required.
