Handle Bill of Material (BOM) scrub, BOM integrity of electronic components namely manufacturer, manufacturer part numbers, status of parts, etc supporting purchasing and customer needs

Source / develop suppliers / manufacturers on alternate components, PCBs technical compatibility.

Involve in Technical advice on comparisons of parts specs review for appropriate alternates

Involve in Design for Components (DFC).

Source, establish and maintain a database of alternate technical / PCB manufacturers / suppliers

Lead, drive corrective actions, FA (Failure Analysis), root cause analysis, liaise with other BEI sites for resolutions

Perform any statutory regulatory environmental / HAZMAT BOM scrubs (ROHS, WEEE,REACH, China RoHS, Pb free process data) or its related

Commodity ID maintenance and allocation

Initiate projects to mitigate supply chain

Any other task as assigned

Responsibilities

Requirements

Engineering Degree in Electronics or related discipline with equivalent experience

Minimum 4 years of component engineering and sources, or related field.

Basic knowledge in analog / digital electronics, semiconductor physics

Lab / instrumentation failure analysis of electrical / electronic components, ATE testing and related

Electrical and electronic design and application engineering experience

Literacy minimum in English and Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.

Knowledge in electronics / PCB manufacturing process is an added advantage

Trained in quality management, certified auditor, trained in TQM, SPC or ISO standard (ISO 9000s..) is an added advantage

Well versed in MS Office Word, Excel, Powerpoint

Able to travel
