The Kuala Lumpur office plays a central role in NWG’s expansion across Asia, providing access to regional opportunities and strengthening the Group’s cross-border investment footprint.

About the Role

The Investment Analyst will join NWG’s Investments Team, supporting the origination, evaluation, and execution of opportunities across private markets. The role provides direct exposure to high-impact transactions and cross-border deal-making across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Originate, evaluate, and execute investment opportunities across private markets
  • Conduct financial, commercial, and strategic analysis of target companies, including valuation, modelling, and due diligence
  • Support structuring and execution of transactions, including M&A, growth equity, and capital raising
  • Monitor portfolio performance and contribute to value creation strategies
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporates, financial institutions, and investors to identify new opportunities
  • Stay abreast of market trends, regulatory developments, and cross-border investment flows

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong academic background in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline (Bachelor’s or Master’s)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in private equity, venture capital, corporate finance, or investment banking with overseas experience in Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia or London is preferred
  • Proven ability to originate and execute investments or transactions end-to-end
  • Deep knowledge of valuation methodologies (DCF, comparables, precedent transactions) and financial modelling
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with commercial acumen
  • Entrepreneurial and self-starter mindset - able to manage deals independently with minimal supervision
  • Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, networking, and presentation skills
