Talent Acquisition Specialist (Japanese Speaker) – Kota Damansara, Malaysia

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist fluent in Japanese to join our recruitment team. This hybrid role is based in our Kota Damansara office (accessible via MRT) and involves full-cycle recruitment responsibilities primarily serving clients in Japan. You will be responsible for sourcing Japanese-speaking candidates worldwide (both inside and outside Japan) to meet the talent needs of our Japanese clients, while working closely with our Malaysian clients and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage the full recruitment cycle : sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding candidates.
  • Source and engage Japanese-speaking candidates globally, including those based in Japan and overseas.
  • Liaise effectively with clients in Japan to understand their hiring needs and provide tailored recruitment solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with candidates and clients through excellent communication in Japanese and English.
  • Conduct candidate assessments and coordinate interviews with clients.
  • Negotiate job offers and facilitate smooth onboarding processes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to meet hiring targets and maintain a high-quality talent pipeline.
  • Provide market insights and recruitment trends relevant to the Japanese job market.
  • Maintain accurate recruitment data and reports.

Requirements :

  • Fluent in Japanese (both spoken and written) — essential.
  • Native speaker OR at least JLPT-N2 level OR graduated from Japan's universities
  • Proven experience as a recruiter, 360 recruitment role is highly advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with Japanese clients and candidates worldwide.
  • Ability to manage multiple recruitment assignments simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with recruitment tools, ATS, and online sourcing platforms.
  • Based in or willing to work from the office in Kota Damansara, Malaysia (hybrid working arrangement).
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Preferred :

  • Experience recruiting for IT, engineering, or technical roles is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Malaysian and Japanese labor markets.
