Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver the engineering drawings / documents on time for various projects.
  • Work on Projects / tasks assigned by Supervisor from time to time.
  • Lead a team of System Engineers and ensure the project deliverables on time.
  • Understand the customer Specification / Technical requirements and develop the design.
  • Self-check the design and ensure that the design is as per customer requirements and meet all standards as per customer Specification
  • Review the design done by team members and ensure that the design is as per customer requirements
  • Submit the design for supervisor review and make modifications as suggested.
  • Solve any design issues and attend the meeting with customer / Main con / TNB.
  • Ensure the release the manufacturing documents / PR etc. done in time for the projects being handled.
  • Attend the KOM / design review meeting pertaining to projects with various customer / Main Con.
  • Perform the Goals assigned by Supervisor in a time bound manner.
  • Assist the Sales & marketing team and necessary.
  • Coordinate with the various dept., like PMO, SCM, Manufacturing and Testing and ensure that the project deliverables are met in time.
  • Be an active team player and support colleagues as and when needed
  • Undertake site visits as required and assigned by Supervisor.

Essential Requirements

  • Min 5 Years of experience as Design Engineer in the field of Control and Protection.
  • Resourceful to handle more than one project at a time.
  • Should have thorough knowledge and experience of design / engineering of Control & Protection schemes for various voltage levels from 11 kV to 500 kV.
  • Complete System / Interface Engineering works of substation.
  • Preparation of Conceptual drawing, Master Relay List, CT / VT Calculations, protection logic drawings, Interlock logic tables.
  • Review of all AIS / GIS, LCC, and Control & Protection Panel, Power Transformer drawings of all other Control equipments.
  • Cable interconnection Diagrams and connection terminal interconnection schedules.
  • Preparation of Relay setting calculations & Relay Configurations for various types of IED Relays for different make / manufacture.
  • Prepare the IO List for SAS / SCADA Supervisory Interface
  • IEC 61850 implementation
  • Good Knowledge of working on ACAD Tools
  • Thorough knowledge of all protection schemes for OHL, Cable feeders, Transformer protection, Bus bar protection, Generator protection schemes.
  • CRP Testing and commissioning experience is desirable / is an added advantage.
  • Thorough knowledge of various makes relays ABB / Alstom / Siemens / NR etc.
  • Excellent Communication skill in local language and able to speak English Language.
  • Willing to travel and attend site commissioning activities.

    • Education Qualifications

  • Graduate (B.Tech / B.E) in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation Engineering or

    • Diploma in Electrical / Electronic / Instrumentation Engineering with overall 8-10 Years' experience in Substation Design / Engineering / Control & Protection and as a Design Engineer.

    Knowledge of ACAD Tools

  • Working knowledge of MS office
