Overview Learning Operations (LO) is part of People, Communication & Culture (PC&C), sitting within Operations & Advisory reporting into the Regional Service Owner (RSO), who is supported by the Global Experience Owner (GEO) and Global Solutions Owner (GSO) to provide a positive colleague experience. Working together with our global learning teams, Learning Operations is responsible for learning implementation, the end-to-end delivery of training internally and providing support and record maintenance for external training. Day to day activity is managed through our systems; Salesforce and Cornerstone.

The Learning Operations Senior Specialist is primarily responsible for implementing learning through CSoD, technical troubleshooting, and data analysis. This role ensures BP's workforce remains compliant and capable of working on our assets and within our businesses. Key responsibilities include managing logistical and delivery activities in line with the Learning Value Chain (LVC). This involves ensuring high standards and timely completion of tasks related to set-up, planning, training sessions, and record maintenance. The role reports directly to the Learning Operations Lead.

Key Accountabilities and Challenges

Ensure the smooth and well-managed transition of new learning offers, sharing SME advice and standard methodology regarding system functionality, configurations and the Operating Model.

Deliver a consistently high standard to all internal and / or external customer groups.

Accurate configuration of new offers and change management against existing offers across internal systems, including bp's Learning Management System (Cornerstone) and the workflow tool (Salesforce).

Ensure accurate validation and approval of learning costs and actuals in multiple payment systems (Ariba, Backbone, Fieldglass and Concur); ensuring it gets back charged to the correct cost centre.

Accountable for the integrity of financial data held in the system, in support of the business's financial and budgetary activities.

Prompt and accurate submission of journal entries to bp finance.

Sound change management and collaborator engagement ensuring that bp's core data and delivery standards are applied; raising risks and issues as required.

Build collegiate and balanced relationships with content owners whose expectations are aligned with learning's service levels and data & delivery standards.

Ensure the highest standards of data & information management are consistently maintained in support of your work.

Provision the e-learning publication service, ensuring thorough testing and validation checks are in place.

Responsible for provisioning goods and services for training sessions, identifying and escalating risks with potential solutions, and scheduling trainers and faculty while coordinating with individual faculty and vendors.

Select and confirm appropriate training venues based on defined criteria and budget considerations, and timely order training materials and arrange special requirements, including managing virtual or physical materials, IT services, catering, and necessary tools (e.g., scrap cars, diesel oil).

Administer sessions by completing tasks in Salesforce and ensuring accurate, timely updates to training records in Cornerstone. Record and follow up on invoicing for estimated and actual costs of goods and services contracted for sessions. Ensure session schedule changes are promptly reflected in Salesforce and communicated to vendors, learners, and faculty.

Point of contact for complex learner queries through cases, thoroughly investigate often time-sensitive queries, whilst managing the learner's expectations.

Work with procurement to onboard training vendors.

Support and drive PC&C Operations & Advisory initiatives, being in tune with PC&C communications and by partnering and collaborating with our GSO (Global Solutions Organisation) via various project work streams and networking channels.

Qualifications, Competencies & Approach Essential Education & Experience

Undergraduate (bachelor) degree level qualification, or equivalent experience

Experience in the learning life cycle

1+ year working experience with financial practices
