Location : Bukit Minyak, Penang, Malaysia. Reporting to the Production Manager , the Senior Production Supervisor directs the manufacturing operations performed in a shift or group of production lines to achieve volume, quality and cost goals.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the production of several processes / lines in a highly technical environment.
• Leads a team comprising professionals (e.g. engineers / officers) to meet quality, cost, delivery and responsiveness requirements.
• Reviews operating performance, identifies factors impacting performance, and advises on changes to improve efficiencies and quality.
• Troubleshoots operational problems, coaches operators to improve performance and understanding.
• Evaluates ideas for plant improvements and collaborates with engineers to develop project proposals.
• Provides technical / operational advice to project teams.
• Acts as principal interface between operations and maintenance where needed.
• May train and coach junior operators and junior team leaders.
• Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency and materials supply to meet customer requirements.
• Initiates and participates in process development and cost improvement projects.
• Assists in department budget planning and manages department expenses.
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment by educating personnel on control points, equipment and resources; ensures compliance with policies and procedures.
• Ensures adherence to manufacturing standards and that personnel are trained and certified for their functions.
• Ensures all manufacturing personnel follow safety guidelines.
