We’re looking for a Project Manager who creates the conditions for our designers and developers to do their best work.
In our industry, project management often focuses too much on control and process rather than enabling great work. At Stampede, we see things differently.
We’re looking for a Project Manager who can create the conditions for our designers and developers to do their best work – someone who brings clarity to uncertainty, harmonises workflows and builds lasting client relationships.
As a Project Manager at Stampede, you’ll blend strategic leadership with operational excellence. You’ll establish frameworks that provide structure while allowing space for creativity. You’ll track what matters without creating unnecessary documentation and facilitate conversations that move projects forward.
This role won’t be one that gatekeeps. You’ll be enabling our talented team to focus on what they do best while you handle the coordination that keeps everything moving forward.
What you will do
You’ll navigate complex enterprise projects using methodologies that fit each client’s context rather than forcing one-size-fits-all approaches. Your ability to anticipate risks before they become issues will maintain momentum when things get complicated.
As the guardian of value delivery, you’ll track budgets, scope alignment and timelines. You’ll create meaningful documentation that supports knowledge transfer without becoming an end in itself. Your canvas will include mobile applications, web platforms and responsive websites across various industries.
Client Partnership Development
We’ve noticed something about our most successful client relationships : they go beyond individual projects. You’ll build trusted advisor partnerships based on mutual understanding and shared success.
While our team will work directly with clients, you’ll remove communication barriers and ensure productive engagements. You’ll identify growth opportunities and navigate complex client organisations to build broader relationships. By understanding both business needs and technical constraints, you’ll transform project wins into lasting partnerships.
Team Enablement
You’ll free our designers and developers to focus on their craft by handling the coordination that often disrupts their flow. You’ll create environments where cross-functional teams can collaborate effectively and facilitate productive working sessions that respect team wellbeing.
You’ll shield the team from unnecessary disruptions while ensuring they have everything they need to succeed. You’ll organise internal reviews and support team members’ growth by providing opportunities to develop new skills within project contexts.
Key requirements
What matters to you
Doing the right thing
High integrity matters to you. You make decisions that benefit the greater good even when no one is watching. When faced with easy shortcuts or the discomfort of growth because it’s the right thing to do, your choice is clear.
Collaboration and teamwork
You enjoy engaging with others and take active interest in contributing positively to your team. You’re genuinely interested in perspectives that differ from your own and develop empathy for those around you. You naturally enjoy working together to solve complex problems with clients and colleagues.
Problem solving, not just task tracking
Problem solving is second nature to you. You don’t just monitor timelines and budgets – you actively identify solutions when challenges arise. You’re comfortable with ambiguity and provide calm leadership during complexity.
Your approach balances business needs, technical possibilities and user experience. You respect both designers and developers, understanding their processes enough to facilitate their work without micromanaging.
Clear and empathic communication
You value communication that creates clarity and inspires action. Your project documentation ensures everyone understands priorities and expectations. Whether using Gantt charts, kanban boards or collaborative workspaces, you make the abstract tangible because shared understanding gets your team closer to the goal.
Seeing both details and strategy
You can dive deep into project details while maintaining perspective on strategic objectives. Your critical thinking applies to both tactical delivery and business strategy. You adapt quickly to challenges and connect patterns across different projects and industries.
If this sounds like you, we should talk. We’re building projects that work today and evolve tomorrow at Stampede and we need someone who can help deliver on that promise.
