Job Title : Supervisor Accounting

Job Purpose :

The Supervisor Accounting is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting and accounting operations. This role involves managing a team of accountants, coordinating financial processes, providing analytical support, and ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.

Job Responsibilities :

• Oversee full sets of accounts for multiple clients in various industries.
• Prepare accounts on a timely basis for weekly, month-end, and financial year-end closings, along with aging reports and listings (if required)
• Review and ensure the accuracy of accounting reports and deliverables prepared by junior staff, when necessary.
• Support the management in planning efforts and supervise junior staff to maintain efficiency.
• Independently manage accounting and management reports, ensuring deadlines are met with minimal supervision.
• Submit accounting reports and deliverables within agreed timelines.
• Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations, monitor unusual items, investigate discrepancies, and manage movements.
• Ensure client deliverables meet quality and timing expectations.
• Resolve queries from stakeholders and ensure action points are addressed.
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax laws.
• Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities on financial and tax matters.
• Assist in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Provide guidance and training to junior team members on accounting principles, processes, and software.
• Maintain strong client relationships and serve as the main point of contact for accounting-related queries.
• Handle additional ad hoc tasks as assigned.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SQL system is an added advantage
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Effective communication and leadership skills to guide and mentor junior staff.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience in an outsourced accounting firm is an added advantage.
