Role Purpose

The Legal Executive / Senior Legal Executive supports the Company's legal and contractual obligations by reviewing, drafting, and managing contracts, ensuring compliance with regulations, and mitigating legal risks. This role works closely with the Head of Legal and business teams to protect Ditrolic Energy's interests and support the successful delivery of renewable energy projects.

Key Responsibilities

Contract Management & Support

  • Assist in reviewing and drafting contracts, including Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), EPC contracts, service agreements, consultancy agreements, MOU, NDA and corporate contracts.
  • Support the preparation of tender documents, legal correspondences, and insurance claims.
  • Maintain accurate and organized contract documentation and records.
  • Advise on contract administration issues (e.g. claims, variations, liquidated damages, extensions of time)

Legal Advisory & Risk Mitigation

  • Provide day-to-day legal advice on company operations, compliance, and projects.
  • Identify potential legal risks and escalate them to the Head of Legal with proposed mitigation strategies.
  • Manage litigation and disputes, including systematically documenting cases, coordinating with external counsel, and adopting commercially sound strategies to protect the company's interests.
  • Support legal due diligence exercises for acquisitions, disposals, investments and other matters
  • Corporate Governance & Compliance

  • Assist in ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
  • Draft legal memos, policies, and templates to support internal approval processes.
  • Conduct legal research on regulations, industry practices, and precedents relevant to company projects.
  • Collaboration & Reporting

  • Work closely with internal departments (project, finance, procurement) to ensure contract and compliance requirements are met.
  • Liaise with external lawyers appointed for specific projects and coordinate their work.
  • Prepare, review, and advise on board papers and directors' resolutions, attend directors' meetings to provide legal and governance guidance, and provide biweekly / monthly legal updates and reports to ensure compliance with governance and regulatory requirements to the Legal Manager / Head of Legal
  • Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent qualification.
  • 2–5 years of working experience in a law firm or in-house legal department, preferably within construction, infrastructure, or energy projects.
  • Knowledge of Power Purchase Agreements, equipment leasing, tender submissions, and joint venture agreements is an advantage.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Good negotiation, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
