Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
The Sourcing Specialist provides strategic and operational procurement support, leading sourcing projects across multiple categories and regions (Europe, Americas). They collaborate with business stakeholders, coach local procurement teams, manage RFXs, negotiate contracts, and work with Global Category Managers and regional Sourcing Managers to secure competitive costs and terms for Mettler-Toledo.
Key Tasks :
- Collaborate closely with Global Category Managers and Sourcing Managers in Europe and the United States to support sourcing initiatives across worldwide locations, assuming increasing responsibility and engaging key stakeholders at all levels
- Provide strategic and operational procurement support to business stakeholders (product owners, service owners) across worldwide locations
- Execute commercial and contractual sourcing events, including negotiations and RFXs / tenders, securing competitive costs and favorable terms while mitigating proportional contractual risks
- Prepare reports and presentations to communicate sourcing outcomes and savings to management
- Support local teams in Malaysia by promoting and implementing procurement best practices and coaching them to follow METTLER TOLEDO's procurement policies and processes
- Ensure compliance with company standards and legal requirements in all procurement activities
- Support or lead small- to medium-sized projects
- Undertake additional tasks aligned with the Global Indirect Procurement Strategy, such as Purchase-to-Pay process management during transition phases and other projects as assigned
What You Need to Succeed
Background
Minimum bachelor’s degree in business, economics, or a related fieldMinimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, procurement consulting, sales or key account management, or related fields within a globally operating organizationProven experience in negotiation, contracting, procurement, and managing relationships with international stakeholders and supplier.Knowledge of
