Overview
The Associate Pipeline Engineer will be supporting Pre-FEED / FEED / EPCIC projects with design and procurement engineering / analysis activities related offshore / onshore pipeline engineering, riser and subsea tie-in spools design analysis, and preparation of MR’s / MTO’s / Data Sheets tasks in a junior level. Learns the content and application of relevant industry codes, standards, guidelines, design methods and analysis.
Qualifications
Essential Qualifications and Education :
- Bachelor\'s degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical or Ocean Engineering or Marine Engineering
- Entry Level position or less than 1- or 2-years’ experience in oil and gas with major contractor or consultant predominantly performing detail design of offshore / onshore facilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication
Responsibilities
Perform detailed design engineering, analysis, and calculations on basic engineering tasks related to offshore and onshore pipeline systemApply knowledge and skills to complete routine assignments under close supervision and mentoringPrepare clear and accurate detailed design calculations and analyses including design reports and proceduresOrganize own work to meet deadlines set by othersTender engineering support with emphasis on document review, assist with the preparation of subcontractor documents, bid evaluation and vendor selectionAssist senior engineers with preparation of technical reports, design calculations, engineering analysis and interface with third parties including subcontractors and verification bodiesRequired to attend and prepare for project progress meetings and departmental meetingsGain an understanding of the project scope of work, specifications, schedule and all inter-discipline requirementsPrepare sketches of detail design to guide Designers and check drawingsKeep the Area Lead / Lead Engineer apprised of all activities, progress and concernsDevelop an awareness of costs related to own workDevelop basic understanding of McDermott\'s business and customers it servesDevelop basic knowledge of McDermott\'s business units and interactions including engineering, fabrication and marine functionsDevelop advanced skills in use of standard productivity tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointUnderstand and apply standards and procedures#J-18808-Ljbffr
