Cost Control Engineer role at Technip Energies

We are currently seeking a Cost Control Engineer to join our team based in Kuala Lumpur. Successful candidates will be offered a fixed-term employment.

About the mission we offer you :

  • Responsible to establish the first project budget / forecast based on handover bid from Proposal / Estimating Department
  • Responsible for updates of changes to the forecast based on inputs from project management and other project team members as applicable
  • Responsible for monthly Project Cost Report and Project Management Report
  • Preparation of monthly invoices to Client and follow up works (including reimbursable items)
  • Evaluate the economic impact of changes / variations in scope of work
  • Perform economical analysis, forecasts, deviations reports etc
  • Update cash forecast
  • Support identification of Threats and Opportunities and mitigation plan
  • Increase other Departments’ awareness of the Cost Control function
  • Review of commitments
  • Assist procurement on invoices from Subcontractors / Suppliers

Main Accountabilities :

  • Develop reporting requirements
  • Manpower forecasting
  • Construction / Procurement forecasting
  • Budget transfer and variation order register
  • Budget variance formalization
  • Cost sensitivities analysis
  • Cash Flow
  • Reporting requirements

    • About you :

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in related field
  • Professional English
  • Knowledge of cost control tools and methodologies
  • Solid analytical and problem solving skills
  • Must work collaboratively with all members of the PMT and other Departments within the Company
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently; adaptable to change and a fast-paced environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines
