Responsibilities
Develop and execute comprehensive sales plans to meet revenue goals and expand market share, particularly for products.
Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to ensure sales strategies are aligned with overall business goals.
Monitor trends, review competitor activity, and adapt strategy according to market changes and customer needs.
Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, dealers, and retailers (or directly with farmers in some contexts).
Lead, manage, and motivate a sales team—setting goals, conducting training, and analyzing performance.
Align team performance with company targets and encourage ongoing professional growth.
Organize field activities such as demo plots, workshops, or farmer meetings to showcase product usage and benefits.
Provide agronomic advice on product application, nutrient management, and sustainable practices.
Track sales metrics, forecasting, and provide insights to inform strategic improvements.
Report regularly to senior management with actionable data and recommendations.
Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and environmental standards relevant to fertilizer products.
Qualifications
Diploma / Degre in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Business, or related fields.
3–5 years (management role) to 8–10 years or more—particularly in fertilizer or agricultural inputs.
Proven track record achieving targets, managing teams, and developing business.
Strong leadership, negotiation, analytic, and relationship-building skills.
Technical or agronomic expertise is a distinct advantage.
Willingness to travel—including frequent trips to rural or field locations.
