Senior Supplier Quality Engineer – Flex, Senai, Johor

What you’ll do
- Lead supplier selection in partnership with sourcing, evaluating quality, capability, pricing, delivery, environment, and regulatory considerations against customer requirements.
- Drive supplier qualification through capability matching, risk assessment, self-assessment, onsite audits, and qualification database management.
- Evaluate and interface with customer drawings and specifications to propose value-added engineering improvements to suppliers and customers.
- Manage material / component qualification including PPAP / FAI, material certificates, control plans, FMEA, MSA, RoHS, reliability testing, and related documentation.
- Track pilot runs, monitor supplier quality in early production, drive corrective actions, and transition pilots to mass production.
- Serve as SME for supplier quality issues and troubleshooting; assist with annual supplier maintenance audits and continuous improvement programs.
- Handle ECO / ECN / SCR processes with customers, ensuring PPAP / FAI readiness as required.
- Understand and apply manufacturing processes to improve supplier components and services; perform supplier quality audits and enforce ISO and regulatory standards.
- Foster strong relationships with buyers and supplier systems to support supplier development and change management.
- Support cross-functional teams in selecting, approving, and developing suppliers to meet customer and business needs.
- Drive supplier process capability studies, root cause analysis, and statistical methods for process improvement.
- Develop and validate process controls, perform Gage R&R studies, and support inspection procedures.
- Guide supplier quality system improvements and participate in supplier corrective actions and non-conformance investigations.
- Contribute to risk assessment for new designs, processes, suppliers, and applications.
- Ensure supplier qualification, development, approval, and rejection adhere to company guidelines.
- Maintain supplier management processes and tools and monitor supplier performance to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience.Minimum 5 years of work experience in supplier quality or a closely related field.#J-18808-Ljbffr
