Overview
Contract Manager (QS / Eng / Related Field) - Operations and Project Management Services Division
Responsibilities
- Administer and manage various contracts (EPCC, consultancy, supply, and service agreements) throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review, draft, and support negotiation of contract terms and commercial conditions with consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
- Monitor compliance with contract obligations, ensuring timely execution of deliverables and resolution of contractual issues.
- Manage contract changes including variations (VOs), claims, extensions of time (EOT), and final account settlements.
- Maintain comprehensive and organized records of contracts, insurances, bonds, warranties, and related documents.
Commercial & Cost Management
Prepare and review development budgets, cost estimates, financial models, and cash flow forecasts.Track actual vs. planned costs, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.Support value engineering initiatives to enhance cost efficiency and project value.Coordinate issuance and verification of Certificates of Payment (CoP) and cost claims with contractors, consultants, clients, or funding entities.Ensure commercial activities comply with governance frameworks, procurement policies, and statutory requirements.Support internal and external audits by maintaining accurate commercial records and documentation.Contribute to developing and standardizing procedures, templates, and workflows for contract and commercial operations.Stakeholder & Project Coordination
Liaise with internal teams (project, legal, technical, finance) and external stakeholders (consultants, contractors, authorities) to resolve contractual and commercial issues.Assist in tender evaluations, procurement planning, and risk assessments.Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, Engineering or a related field.Minimum 7–10 years of relevant experience in contract and commercial management, with prior exposure to power plant or large-scale infrastructure projects.Strong understanding of contract law, procurement, project costing, and claims management.Proven ability to manage multiple contracts and commercial issues in fast-paced project environments.Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.Familiar with standard contract forms (e.g. FIDIC, PAM, IEM, CIDB) is an added advantage.Job Benefits
