Overview

Join Zurich as a JavaScript & API Senior Developer to build a new end-to-end Zurich Edge digital insurance platform for customers in the Asia Pacific region. You will contribute to a platform designed for automation and straight-through processing across the full insurance value chain.

Responsibilities

  • Understand business requirements and how to best build the web application
  • Web development : HTML, CSS, JavaScript or TypeScript
  • Microservices : Node.js and / or Nest.js, PostgreSQL, Redis
  • Unit testing (JEST), integration testing and deployments in various environments
  • Troubleshooting, debugging & defect analysis
  • Interface with other teams to integrate the web with back-end services
  • Build & unit test reusable components and functions
  • Familiar with CI / CD processes in AWS (configuration management, automated builds, unit testing, etc.)
  • Occasional travel may be required

Qualifications

  • Web development : extensive experience in HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Microservices : experience in Node.js and / or Nest.js, PostgreSQL and Redis
  • Prior experience in Financial Services or Insurance is highly regarded
  • Experience with JEST, JIRA, GitHub, SonarQube is a plus
  • Problem solving, writing secure, reusable and maintainable code, writing clear documentation
  • Experience with MVC and other design patterns
  • Interest in new technologies and ability to investigate them in-depth
