Overview
Serve as a resource person to educate and promote mental health for patients, families, caregivers, staff, support groups and the community.
Provide psychosocial counselling to patients (Inpatient, Outpatient and referrals) and do follow-up care for patients in the hospital.
Giving health talks to corporate companies and during community programmes in creating mental health awareness and wellness.
Involves in planning, organizing, coordinating and managing on-going Health Promotional activities for the hospital (internally & externally), and developing health and wellness awareness programmes.
Work together with relevant departments on thematic projects e.g. World Health Day, Cancer Day, Pink October, and others.
Liaise and connect with NGOs relating to mental health and brief superiors on matters discussed.
Assist in planning, organizing, coordinating and managing Research projects including keying in data collection, monitoring, analysis, tracking, evaluation, and implementation.
Preparing pamphlets on non-communicable diseases, smoking, mental health, stress management, wellness, and lifestyle-relevant information in English, Mandarin & Bahasa Malaysia.
Work closely with relevant departments to produce, manage, and audit preventive patient and family health educational materials e.g. brochures, flyers, videos, posters, and banners for health awareness programmes.
Prepare and post health education information via posters / videos / infographics on social media to create health awareness.
Participate in continuous quality and performance improvement, risk management and safety activities.
Perform any other tasks and duties as instructed by the superior.
