Key Responsibilities

  • Design and Implementation : Deploy and configure Fortinet (FortiGate) and Palo Alto Networks firewalls to secure enterprise networks.
  • Policy Management : Develop, implement, and maintain firewall policies, rules, and access controls to ensure optimal security and performance.
  • Threat Mitigation : Monitor and respond to security incidents, perform threat analysis, and implement mitigation strategies using Fortinet and Palo Alto tools.
  • Network Monitoring : Utilize FortiAnalyzer, FortiManager, Panorama, and other management tools to monitor network traffic, identify anomalies, and optimize firewall performance.
  • Troubleshooting : Diagnose and resolve network security issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum system availability.
  • Collaboration : Work closely with cross‑functional teams, including IT, DevOps, and compliance teams, to integrate security solutions into the broader infrastructure.
  • Documentation and Training : Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, processes, and incident responses; provide guidance to junior team members.
  • Compliance and Audits : Ensure network security configurations align with industry standards (e.g., PCI‑DSS, ISO 27001) and support audit processes.
  • Stay Current : Keep up‑to‑date with the latest cybersecurity trends, vulnerabilities, and Fortinet / Palo Alto product updates to enhance system security.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience : Minimum of 3 years of experience in network security. At least 2 years of hands‑on experience managing Fortinet FortiGate and Palo Alto Networks firewalls.
  • Proficiency in configuring and managing Fortinet solutions (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer) and Palo Alto solutions (Next‑Generation Firewalls, Panorama).
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP / IP, VPN, IPSec, SSL, etc.) and security technologies (IDS / IPS, VPNs, SD‑WAN).
  • Experience with firewall policy creation, NAT, VPN setup, and threat prevention features.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools and SIEM solutions.
  • Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications : Poseidon NSE 4, NSE 5, NSE 7 or Palo Alto Networks PCNSE are highly desirable.
  • Other relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP Security, CISSP, CEH) are a plus.
  • Additional Experience : Knowledge of cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and integration with Fortinet / Palo Alto solutions.
