About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Data Analyst to join our dynamic Data & Reporting team. In this role, you will bridge finance expertise with data analytics to deliver accurate, insightful, and scalable reporting. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Account Management, Operations, and Sales to gather requirements, design reporting solutions, and drive informed decision-making across the organization. This role is ideal for someone with strong financial knowledge (accounting / audit / FP&A background) combined with technical expertise in data analysis, BI tools and automation.
Responsibilities
- Financial & Data Analysis
- Develop and maintain reporting solutions and dashboards for P&L, budgets, forecasts, tax submissions, reconciliation and cost analysis
- Collaborate with Finance team to ensure data accuracy, compliance, and reporting readiness
- Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, insights, risks, and opportunities
- Automate and streamline manual reporting processes
- Reporting Development & Documentation
- Design and enhance Power BI dashboards and reports for Finance and other business functions
- Work with cross-functional stakeholders including C-suite executives on ad-hoc reporting and analysis, and to translate business requirements into clear reporting solutions
- Collaborate with Data Engineers & other Data Analysts to ensure data availability, accuracy, and consistency across various reports
- Maintain documentation of business requirements, data mappings, and reporting processes. Work closely with business stakeholders to understand reporting and analytical needs
- Stakeholder Management, Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement
- Communicate findings, implications, and recommendations effectively to both finance and non-finance stakeholders at all levels
- Validate reports through rigorous testing for accuracy, completeness, and consistency
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to team-wide best practices
Requirements
5-8 years experience in financial reporting, finance data analysis, or audit / accounting analyticsBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Data / Computer Science, or a related disciplineStrong understanding of financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) and accounting principlesStrong critical thinking skills and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insightsExpertise in Microsoft Power BI or similar data visualization toolsProficient in SQL for data exploration, extraction, and analysisExcellent written & verbal communication and stakeholder management skillsAdaptable to fast-moving environments and competing prioritiesExperience in the payments industry is an advantage, although not mandatoryBenefits
