Overview
The Sales Engineer is responsible for selling into new prospects as well as farming back into existing customers to ensure high renewal and customer satisfaction levels. Measures of success include new customer acquisition rates, renewal rates, up-selling, cross-selling, customer satisfaction and contribution to overall sales team and business success.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sales strategies and action plans to achieve business targets.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities while strengthening relationships with existing customers.
- Lead, support, and motivate the Sales Team to achieve individual and team objectives.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements; provide timely reports and recommendations to management.
- Prepare and manage sales forecasts, budgets, and regular performance reports.
- Provide technical advice, product knowledge, and arrange trials or demonstrations as required.
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing enquiries, complaints, quotations, and credit matters promptly.
- Ensure accurate and updated customer records in SAP and oversee sales administration processes.
- Coordinate and participate in sales training, trade fairs, and promotional events.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and customer service.
- Perform additional ad-hoc tasks as assigned by management from time to time.
