About Our Client

A prominent client in the Aerospace Industry is seeking an experienced Lead Purchaser to join their team in the Klang Valley Region. The company aims to become a market leader through innovation and growth. They are looking for a skilled Lead Purchaser to strengthen their team.

Job Description

  • Supplier & Contract Management : Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and compliance. Build strong relationships and negotiate contracts for favorable terms.
  • Procurement Strategy & Planning : Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals. Analyze needs and create sourcing plans considering risk assessments.
  • Purchasing Operations & Cost Control : Manage purchase orders and contracts, monitor pricing trends, and conduct cost-benefit analyses to optimize costs while maintaining quality.
  • Quality & Regulatory Compliance : Collaborate with QA teams to ensure standards are met. Address quality issues promptly and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Market Insight : Work with engineering, production, quality, finance, and logistics teams. Stay informed on market trends and emerging technologies.

The Successful Applicant

  • Minimum Degree in any discipline
  • At least 5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management
  • Experience in logistics or supply chain administration is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Knowledge of international trade regulations and customs procedures is advantageous
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills in English and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
