Responsibilities
- General support of Ipsos entities in Asia Pacific (excluding China) on a variety of legal issues. The legal counsel will be responsible for the following :
Corporate
Assist the General Counsel in preparing and overseeing company policies reasonably necessary for efficient management of the business in compliance with laws and regulations.
Assist the group secretariat team from time to time to co-ordinate corporate housekeeping.CommercialDraft, review and negotiate client and vendor contracts.
Work closely with client service teams to resolve legal issues related to commercial relationships between Ipsos entities and their clients.Create / update legal forms for a variety of contracts.LitigationAdvise the client service team / relevant CFOs in relation to disputes between Ipsos entities and their clients.
Assist the General Counsel in overseeing outside counsel on litigation matters.TrainingPrepare and conduct training to employees in the region on legal related topics, such as contract management, appropriate workplace behaviour, debt recovery, anti-bribery, etc.
AdministrativeProvide administrative support to the work assignment system for the Asia Pacific legal team.
Qualifications
At least 4 years PQE experience, preferably having worked both in a private practice law firm and an in-house legal environment.LLB or LLB equivalent required.Required Skills
Fluent in spoken and written English.Excellent communication skills, written and oral.Excellent time management and organization skills, ability to work efficiently and productively in a fast-paced high-growth environment.Ability to work independently.Confidence to take action and make decisions within the parameters of authority set by the group legal team.A high level of flexibility and initiative.Sense of ownership of responsibilities.Legal Background
