We are partnering with The Solar House Sdn. Bhd. (TSH), a Malaysian company specializing in providing comprehensive solar photovoltaic (PV) services, including consultancy, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and maintenance of solar PV systems.
As a Technical Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting technical assessments, preparing engineering designs, and providing support throughout the lifecycle of solar PV projects. You will play a key role in ensuring the technical integrity, efficiency, and performance of the company's solar energy solutions, while supporting both the sales and project delivery teams. You will provide end-to-end technical expertise for solar PV projects—from feasibility studies and system design to technical support and performance verification. This role ensures that the company delivers innovative, cost-effective, and high-quality engineering solutions that meet client needs and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Support the company's growth objectives by ensuring technical excellence in all solar PV projects.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement in system design and technical processes.
- Contribute technical insights during project planning, bidding, and client consultation.
- Ensure compliance with international and Malaysian solar energy standards, regulations, and safety guidelines.
- Conduct site technical feasibility studies including energy logging, shading analysis, site assessments, and measurements.
- Prepare engineering calculations, PV system simulations (e.g. PVsyst, Helioscope), and yield forecasts.
- Develop detailed engineering designs, drawings, and project bills of materials.
- Perform system performance checks, testing, and technical verifications during installation and commissioning.
- Provide ongoing technical support to both the sales and project teams.
- Liaise with external stakeholders (consultants, vendors, and regulatory bodies) on design confirmations, analysis, and approvals.
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and project handover materials.
- Collaborate closely with sales, projects, and site teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Communicate technical findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders and clients.
- To mentor designer / drafter / CAD operator / interns when required.
- Represent the company's technical expertise in discussions with consultants and regulators.
The Ideal Candidate :
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or Renewable Energy Engineering or related field.Professional certifications in solar PV design / installation are an advantage (e.g., GCPV by SEDA Malaysia).Fresh graduates with strong technical skills and internship / project experience will be considered.Experience in solar PV system design, engineering, or related technical roles is an advantage.Experience in PV system design and simulation software.Involvement in site surveys, feasibility studies, or commissioning of solar PV systems.Prior exposure to EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) or renewable energy projects is highly desirable.Strong knowledge of solar PV systems (on-grid and hybrid systems).Expertise in engineering calculations, feasibility studies, and system optimization.Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and propose effective solutions.Familiarity with Malaysian regulatory requirements (SEDA, Suruhanjaya Tenaga, TNB).Proficiency with solar PV design software (e.g., PVsyst, Helioscope, AutoCAD, SketchUp).Working knowledge of MS Office, MS Project, and other project management software.Understanding of monitoring platforms and IoT-enabled PV system diagnostics.Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.Attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.Resilience and adaptability in a dynamic project environment.Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
