Job Description

  • Design, develop, and maintain WordPress websites tailored to business needs.
  • Build custom themes, plugins, and widgets to enhance functionality.
  • Integrate third-party APIs (e.g., RESTful, SOAP, JSON) seamlessly with WordPress.
  • Create and manage custom taxonomies, post types, and archive templates.
  • Develop fully responsive, mobile-friendly designs using Elementor Pro and custom code.
  • Ensure all updates and changes are rigorously tested in a sandbox / staging environment before deployment.
  • Troubleshoot performance, security, and compatibility issues across the site.
  • Collaborate with designers, content creators, and other team members to deliver a cohesive user experience.
  • Optimise websites for speed, mobile performance, and SEO best practices.
  • Implement and maintain WordPress security measures to protect against vulnerabilities.
  • Ensure seamless deployment of updates, features, and integrations with minimal downtime.

    • Requirements

  • Extensive experience with WordPress development, including themes and plugins.
  • Proficiency with Elementor Pro for advanced responsive design.
  • Expertise in API integrations and troubleshooting (RESTful APIs, JSON, etc.).
  • Skilled in managing custom taxonomies, post types, and archive structures.
  • Knowledge of WordPress coding standards and best practices for clean, maintainable code.
  • Experience with testing and debugging in a sandbox / staging environment before going live.
  • Ability to install, update, and customise plugins while ensuring compatibility.
  • Strong focus on website security, including vulnerability scanning and prevention.
  • Experience with performance optimisation, including improving load times and reducing bottlenecks.
  • Familiarity with SEO practices, including schema markup and metadata implementation.
  • Comfortable managing hosting environments (e.g., cPanel, Plesk, cloud hosting) and server configurations.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail and quality.
