Overview
The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing all functions of the convenience store and retail fuel site. Managers must have the aptitude to immediately solve problems. Stores are open 24 / 7 / 365 and managers must be available days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Essential Job Functions
Recruit, hire, and train store personnelSupervise daily performance of store associatesProcess customer transactionsDeliver excellent customer service and resolve customer concernsSchedule associates according to store needs and labor budgetCreate and submit daily store reportsMonitor P&L reports to reach expected marginsCollect and submit fuel price dataReconcile and prepare bank depositsControl cash handling, merchandise, and fuel inventoriesOrder product to keep shelves fully stockedBuild and maintain excellent vendor relationsMediate employee grievances and disputesEvaluate and counsel employeesMaintain site cleanliness and appearance standards, performing routine housekeeping tasks inside and outsideSubmit and manage maintenance service requestsImplement and maintain health & safety protocolsResponsibility and oversight for all operations of the quick service restaurant (most locations)Ensure employee compliance with all laws, regulations, and company policiesConsistently adhere to all company policies and proceduresBasic Qualifications & Physical Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; secondary degree preferred2+ years retail management or related experience18+ years of ageValid driver’s license & reliable transportationAuthorized to work in the United States and able to provide acceptable documents, per USCIS guidelinesVerifiable work history and satisfactory referencesOutgoing and friendly demeanorWillingness to work flexible hoursSafely lift 55+ lbs. and carry short distancesStand and walk for 8+ consecutive hoursAbility to climb a step ladder, reach with arms above head, grasp with hands, bend, and kneelUse hands bilaterally & unilaterallyAble to work in extreme temperatures, such as when stocking freezers or maintaining outdoor areasAccurately select options from a touch screen monitorAccurately count US currency and make changeAptitude for teamwork and customer serviceBasic computer proficiency including email & Microsoft Office SuiteSuperior leadership and teamwork skillsMulti-task in a fast-paced retail environment#J-18808-Ljbffr
