Job Purpose :
To lead and manage the Production Planning & Control (PPC) function, ensuring effective production scheduling, material planning, and resource allocation. The role focuses on balancing customer demand with production capacity to achieve on-time delivery, cost efficiency, and smooth manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Production Planning & Scheduling
- Develop and manage the Master Production Schedule (MPS) based on sales forecasts, customer orders, and plant capacity.
- Translate demand plans into detailed weekly and daily production schedules.
- Monitor and adjust schedules to meet delivery deadlines and minimize downtime.
2. Material Planning & Control
Oversee Material Requirement Planning (MRP) to ensure timely availability of raw materials, components, and consumables.Optimize inventory levels to avoid shortages and excess stock.Work closely with Purchasing and Warehouse to ensure material readiness.3. Coordination Across Functions
Liaise with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain to align production priorities.Collaborate with Sales / Customer Service to provide accurate delivery lead times and resolve order fulfillment issues.Coordinate with Logistics for efficient shipment planning.4. Performance Monitoring & Improvement
Track KPIs such as On-Time Delivery (OTD), production efficiency, and inventory turnover.Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.Lead continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Kaizen, or similar) to enhance planning accuracy and efficiency.5. Leadership & People Management
Manage, guide, and develop the PPC team to ensure effective execution of planning activities.Provide coaching, training, and performance evaluation.Foster a culture of collaboration and accountability.Requirements :
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Industrial Management, or related field.Minimum 8 years' experience in production planning & control, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.Strong knowledge of BOM (Bill of Materials), MRP, and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).Experience in manufacturing environment, preferably automotive / electronics / heavy industry.Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Strong leadership with ability to manage cross-functional teams.Job Type : Full-time
