IT Agile Project Manager

Primary Objectives

Manage and implement projects successfully as per project stakeholders expectations and established KPIs Manage all activities of IT projects following the established project management lifecycle, ensuring the projects are completed on time, within budget and within scope

Provide leadership and guidance to project team members

Key Responsibilities

Engage with the Business users and the Technical team members directly in relation to the their roles in the project activities

Manage project stakeholders – Project Steering Committees, Project Working Groups, etc. Manage interdependencies between projects

Manage vendors (where applicable) to ensure smooth implementation of project activities

Develop the Project Plan

Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets.

Work closely with Business Teams on the development of the detail functional requirements and the Technical Teams on the technical requirements

Support comprehensive testing and deployment plans with the project team

Ensure timely delivery of key project milestones and planned deliverables

Ensure the banks established project documentation is complete

Identify, assess & mitigate project risks proactively.

Resolve project issues in a timely manner

Ensure availability of project facilities and resources according to project requirements

Monitor and track closely the project progress to ensure activities are kept on-time

Conduct proper escalation of issues / risks where and when appropriate and required

Provide regular updates on project progress and financials to the PSC.

Ensure timely and accuracy in the reporting of project statuses to relevant parties

Ensure timely and accuracy in the reporting of project statuses to relevant parties as per banks reporting standards.

Ensure compliance to Regulatory, Audit and Risk matters in the execution of IT Projects

Requirements

Proven track record in the management of IT systems development (SDLC) projects and implementations, preferably in the Banking / Financial sector

Proficient project management experience (4-8 years with 2-5 years in FIs) with technical and banking specific business knowledge.

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is mandatory Familiarity with banking systems / applications (to specify if known).

Strong understanding and hands-on experience of various system development and implementation with SDLC methodologies

Ability to lead, manage and work effectively with various teams of people across the organization to achieve projects objectives.
