The Project Information Manager (PIM) is responsible for ensuring the effective coordination, integration, and management of project delivery systems across all functions and disciplines. This includes oversight of engineering systems such as Engineering Design Systems (EDS) and Engineering Data Management Systems (EDM), as well as project systems covering construction management, project controls (estimating, planning, cost control, progressing), and procurement systems. The role also encompasses the governance and integration of third-party hosted systems, enterprise systems, information technology systems, and iM infrastructure to support seamless project execution and data integrity throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage Project Delivery Systems project mobilization in line with project schedule.
  • Ensure delivery of relevant, timely information to all key participants enabling the project to be executed to high quality standards.
  • To optimize systems, work processes and software tools to achieve these aims.
  • Coordination of Project Delivery Systems used by the various departments and disciplines for the execution of the project, including CAD, Engineering Document Management (EDMS) and Data Management Systems, Engineering Design Systems, Project Systems and Information Management (data integration, warehousing and handover).
  • Focal point for ensuring the iM Services are provided to meet project requirements.
  • Provide all project personnel including the customer with a single point of contact for all Systems and services listed above.
  • Understand and facilitate Project Workshare requirements establishing monitoring procedures to ensure effective delivery from HVE centers.
  • Identify project's information, data, hardware, network and system needs.
  • Responsible for producing applicable Project Information Management execution and Implementation plans and documents.
  • Ensure the whole project team understands, supports, and adheres to the Information Management strategy.
  • Educate the team in the Information Management requirements and the benefits to be gained.
  • Ensure Information and document handover meets contractual requirements.
  • Build and manage a competent team for Data Coordination, 3D Model co-ordination, Project Systems and EDMS support and relevant Application support and development.
  • Influence project execution strategy to take advantage of the preferred systems and software tools.
  • Accountable for managing the systems administrators within the project team.
  • Identify and Coordinate systems training requirements.
  • Manage interface with applications Expert Users, Software Support and relevant 3rd Parties.
  • Ensure project awareness of procedures and policy related to systems are fully understood by all project participants.

Qualifications / Skill Set :

  • Education : Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Computer Science of Business is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of the Engineering / Procurement / Construction (EPC) information lifecycle.
  • Broad working knowledge of all related Information management disciplines including engineering design systems, data and document management systems, project systems (estimating, project controls, procurement, construction, commissioning systems and information technology with specific expertise in one or more of these disciplines.
  • A strong understanding of engineering and project data management, including database technologies, data presentation, project data lifecycles and project data domains is required.
  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience within the EPC or the E&P (Exploration and Production) industries, in a relevant role and with strong project execution experience, is required.
  • Ability to comply with, promote and provide leadership in HSE policy.
  • Have strong skills with PC hardware, Windows OS, MS Office 2010 or newer, and be able to operate in a networked environment.
  • Knowledge in ITIL process required and Certification preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to provide leadership in project execution.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
