Job Summary

The E-commerce Website Designer reports to the E-commerce Manager or person in-chargeand plays a hands-on role in designing and maintaining Metrojaya’s Shopify website. Therole focuses on creating engaging content, visuals, and UI / UX enhancements to improvecustomer experience and conversions while ensuring brand consistency. Collaboration withmarketing, merchandising, and e-commerce teams is key to delivering impactful campaignsand a strong online presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, update, and maintain Shopify website pages, landing pages, and homepagebanners.
  • Create product visuals, promotional materials, and web graphics optimized fordesktop and mobile.
  • Partner with marketing and merchandising teams on campaigns, product launches,and seasonal promotions.
  • Develop wireframes, UI / UX mockups, and design systems to improve user journeys.
  • Ensure consistent brand identity across all online channels.
  • Implement and manage Google Analytics tags and Shopify tracking tools.
  • Analyze performance data to recommend design and UX improvements.
  • Stay current with e-commerce design trends and competitor activity.

Core Competencies

1. Web & E-commerce Design

  • Shopify theme editing, page customization, and responsive layouts.
  • Familiarity with Shopify apps and third-party integrations (PageFly, Shogun).
  • Ability to maintain brand consistency and accurate product placements.
  • 2. Creative & Visual Design

  • Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD).
  • Ability to design promotional graphics, homepage banners, and product visuals.
  • Video editing and motion graphics skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with a creative and innovative mindset.
  • 3. UI / UX & Conversion Optimization

  • Wireframing, prototyping, and user flow design.
  • Understanding of UX / UI principles and customer-centric design.
  • Ability to translate user insights into actionable design improvements.
  • Adaptability to evolving digital trends and technologies.
  • 4. Collaboration & Communication

  • Work effectively with marketing, e-commerce, and merchandising teams.
  • Strong communication skills to present concepts and incorporate feedback.
  • Team player with the ability to handle multiple priorities under deadlines.
  • 5. Analytics & Data-Driven Design

  • Proficiency in Google Analytics and Shopify analytics.
  • Ability to track KPIs (traffic, CTR, bounce rates, conversions).
  • Use insights to improve website performance and user experience.
  • Qualification & Experience

  • Diploma / Degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, or related field.
  • 1–3 years’ experience in e-commerce or digital design
