Company Description

A European multinational company, privately owned, operating globally in the field of advanced industrial machinery and electronic technology solutions. The company provides high‑precision equipment for manufacturing sectors such as semiconductors, glass coating, and industrial automation.

Role Overview

The Service Engineer will support electronic power systems and plasma generator technologies for customers across Southeast Asia. The role involves in‑house repairs, field service, installation, commissioning, maintenance, and customer technical support.

Key Responsibilities

Perform repair, testing, and troubleshooting of electronic power supply units and plasma generators at the repair center.
Install, commission, and service equipment at customer sites across Southeast Asia.
Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure system reliability and uptime.

Customer Support

Provide technical training to customer personnel on equipment usage and basic maintenance.

Offer on‑site and remote technical support to resolve system issues.

Operations and Documentation

Prepare service reports, repair records, and logistics documentation.

Coordinate packing and return of repaired equipment.

Maintain and calibrate test equipment and tools used in the service center.

Service Business Support

Support promotion of service products, spare parts, and service contracts during customer interactions.

Collect customer information and equipment data to support internal sales and application teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.

Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in electronics servicing, industrial equipment maintenance, or similar technical roles.

Strong understanding of electronic circuits, schematics, and key components such as IGBT, MOSFET, or FPGA‑based systems.

Experience with power electronics, plasma generators, semiconductor manufacturing equipment, or similar technologies is an advantage.

Skills and Competencies

Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Mandarin proficiency is required due to coordination with engineering teams in China.

Strong problem‑solving ability and attention to detail.

Able to work independently and in a team environment.

Customer‑focused, responsible, and able to manage multiple tasks.

Willing to travel within Malaysia and Southeast Asia as required.
