Senior Mechanical Engineer

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Arup, you will be responsible for delivering projects with technical excellence while managing both medium and large-scale projects. You will lead teams to design and coordinate mechanical systems across various sectors including commercial, hotel, retail, and hospital design. In this client-facing role, you will ensure effective communication, project execution, and contribute to business development efforts.

The Opportunity

• Lead the design and development of mechanical systems and components, including calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Manage projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers, helping them solve complex problems and develop professionally.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including electrical engineers, BIM technicians, and sustainability experts to achieve project goals.
• Engage with clients to understand their needs, develop technical solutions, and support business development efforts through proposal creation and client meetings.
