Solution Architect

Job Responsibilities

• Works directly with the Lead Solution Architect and Consultant team to understand project concepts, objectives, and approaches.
• Coordinates interactions and communication among the ITS team and Sales team to launch data collection / software solutions for meter collection, document analysis, and the generation of total cost of ownership reports for the existing fleet.
• Collaborates with the Lead Solution Architect to identify and craft a solution that meets the business needs of the stakeholders as agreed upon and documented in the SOW or pre-analysis document.
• Interviews and facilitates workshops with key stakeholders to understand and assemble business processes and related requirements.
• Performs requirements gathering, documents functional requirements, and records business / data / application / technologies architecture and business rules.
• Transforms requirements and processes from user interviews into Scope of Work (SOW) documents.
• Designs document workflows and makes recommendations to increase operational effectiveness and identify gaps between the current state and future state.
• Handover and translate the SOW from the business to the System Architect team to continue deployment activities.
• Implements work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures based on the user’s business process.
• Reviews use cases and other technical documents with IT project staff to ensure business requirements are reflected in technical planning documents.
• Defines, develops, and implements quality assurance practices and procedures, end-user test scripts (UAT), and other QA assessments.
• Assists in creating project schedules by developing project plans and specifications, estimating time requirements, establishing deadlines, and monitoring milestone completion.
