Key Responsibilities
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate rates with shipping lines, airlines, trucking companies, and other service providers.
- Assist in vendor selection, onboarding, and maintaining updated supplier records.
- Be the relationship holder with vendors and in between operations and vendors.
- Support contract management and review agreements with freight and logistics providers.
- Coordinate with the operations team to match procurement with customer requirements.
- Track market trends, freight rates, and service availability to provide cost‑saving opportunities.
- Resolve discrepancies between purchase orders, invoices, and delivery notes.
- Prepare procurement reports and maintain accurate documentation for audit / compliance.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement process.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.1–2 years’ experience in procurement, preferably within logistics or freight forwarding.Good understanding of Incoterms, shipping terms, and logistics operations.Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Detail‑oriented with good organizational and problem‑solving skills.Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple priorities.#J-18808-Ljbffr
