Job Title : Site Engineer / Site Supervisor (Electrical & IT)

Job Summary

We are seeking a hands‑on and responsible Site Engineer / Site Supervisor (Electrical & IT) to join our data center project team. This role combines technical supervision and site management, ensuring smooth execution of electrical and IT infrastructure works. The candidate will coordinate subcontractors, monitor site activities, enforce safety standards, and ensure timely delivery of high‑quality works.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily site works for electrical (LV / MV), structured cabling, fiber optics, UPS, grounding, and IT systems.
  • Oversee workforce, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure proper work methods and quality.
  • Check installation works against drawings, specifications, and data center standards (TIA‑942, Uptime, ASHRAE, etc.).
  • Coordinate with Project Manager, consultants, and client representatives for smooth site execution.
  • Resolve day‑to‑day site issues, design conflicts, or material shortages.
  • Plan daily work schedules, manpower allocation, and ensure resources are available.
  • Conduct inspections and submit QA / QC reports, checklists, and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with Suruhanjaya Tenaga, CIDB, DOSH and other regulatory bodies.
  • Support Testing & Commissioning (T&C), FAT, and SAT of systems.
  • Prepare daily site reports, work progress updates, and material usage logs.
  • Report site progress, delays, and issues to Project Manager.
  • Maintain proper records of manpower, equipment, and inspection status.
  • Enforce HSE rules and conduct toolbox briefings.
  • Report accidents, hazards, and near‑misses; ensure corrective actions are taken.
  • Work closely with Safety Officer (SSS / SHO) to ensure safe practices.
  • Provide technical support to site workers and subcontractors.
  • Troubleshoot installation issues, equipment faults, or IT integration problems.
  • Assist with BMS integration, security systems, and data center IT equipment setup.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, IT, or related field.
  • Minimum 2–5 years’ experience in site supervision or engineering role (preferably in data center / M&E projects).
  • Knowledge of data center infrastructure systems (UPS, generators, cabling, racks, grounding, LV / MV systems).
  • Familiar with QA / QC, safety, and regulatory compliance (ST, CIDB, DOSH).
  • Strong leadership skills to manage site workers and subcontractors.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Project, and Microsoft Office.
  • Willing to travel and work at project sites in Malaysia.
