Trainer – Audio Annotation

Penerangan pekerjaanMonitor annotator performance and provide regular feedback to improve consistency and accuracy. Conduct calibration sessions to ensure alignment with annotation standards. Review and analyse errors to identify areas for improvement. Suggest improvements to annotation workflows, tools, and quality control mechanisms. Work closely with project managers to ensure timely delivery of training and annotation goals. Document best practices and maintain a knowledge base for annotation tasks. Experience : 2–4 years of experience in audio transcription, ASR projects, training , preferably in data labeling / annotation. Strong command of spoken and written language. Familiarity with different accents, and speech variations . Good communication and training delivery skills. Experience with transcription tools or platforms is a plus. Skills : English proficiency at least at C1 level. Strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to break down complex instructions into simple, actionable steps. Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail. Strong organizational and leadership skills. Adaptability to fast-changing project needs. Collaborative mindset with cross-functional teams. Commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
Overview
Thoth AI is seeking a Trainer with experience in audio transcription and annotation to lead and support teams on audio-based projects. This role includes speech-to-text transcription, automatic speech recognition (ASR), speaker labelling, intent recognition, and audio quality assessment. You will be responsible for training annotators, ensuring consistent quality, and updating guidelines as projects evolve.
Key Responsibilities
- Training & Onboarding
- Develop and deliver structured training modules for new data annotators.
- Train team members on annotation guidelines, tools, and quality benchmarks.
- Create and deliver training materials for tasks such as speaker diarisation, accent labelling, tone / emotion tagging, and noise classification .
- Conduct refresher sessions and workshops for existing annotators.
