SENIOR TECHNICAL MANAGER

Provide leadership and strategic direction for all technical and engineering activities within the company.

Establish and continuously refine engineering standards, design frameworks, and technical best practices.

Lead R&D initiatives in solar technologies, battery energy storage, hybrid systems, and digital monitoring solutions.

Evaluate and implement emerging technologies that enhance system performance, reduce costs, and improve reliability.

Project Oversight & Quality Assurance

Supervise and validate system designs, energy yield studies, and technical submissions for all solar PV projects.

Ensure engineering deliverables meet regulatory requirements (TNB, SEDA, ST) and international standards (IEC, IEEE).

Support project teams during construction, commissioning, and technical troubleshooting phases.

Drive a culture of quality, innovation, and continuous improvement within the technical team.

Strategic Planning & Business Support

Collaborate with top management to align technical strategy with the company’s long-term growth plan.

Provide technical insights and feasibility assessments during project bidding and investment evaluations.

Support the Business Development team by developing technically competitive and innovative proposal solutions.

Develop and maintain vendor qualification criteria, technology partnerships, and product evaluations.

People Development & Team Building

Mentor and develop engineers, fostering technical depth and leadership within the team.

Build a high-performing engineering department capable of supporting large-scale and complex projects.

Promote a learning culture focused on technical excellence, innovation, and safety.

Governance, Compliance & Sustainability

Ensure compliance with all technical and safety regulations and company policies.

Introduce systems for technical documentation control, versioning, and knowledge sharing.

Contribute to sustainability initiatives by identifying opportunities for system efficiency and carbon reduction.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Renewable Energy, or related field.

Minimum 5–8 years of experience in solar PV design, engineering, or project execution.

Demonstrated leadership experience in managing multidisciplinary technical teams.

Proven track record in solar EPCC projects (rooftop, ground-mounted, hybrid, or utility-scale).

Strong knowledge of solar PV system design, inverters, energy storage, and hybrid systems.

Proficient in PVsyst, AutoCAD, Helioscope, or similar tools.

Familiar with Malaysian regulatory frameworks (SEDA, TNB, ST).

Strong business acumen with the ability to balance technical and commercial considerations.

Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning abilities.

Visionary mindset with passion for innovation, sustainability, and renewable energy advancement.

Comprehensive understanding of M&E systems and their integration with solar PV installations will be a strong plus.
