Overview

General & Operational Accounting Sr. Specialist role at NTT DATA North America. This position is remote from Malaysia (MY-14), Kuala Lumpur area.

Responsibilities

Responsible for general ledger accounting (examples : accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank, fixed assets, intercompany, tax & statutory).
Perform monthly accounting close activities (preparing & posting journal entries, analyzing financial statements and ledger activities), prepare balance sheet reconciliations, conduct fluctuation analysis on balance sheet items and support monthly / quarterly reporting requirements.
Review financial records to ensure compliance with company policies and accounting principles.
Assist with reconciling accounts, resolving discrepancies, and collaborating across finance and non-finance functions.
Support analysis of journals, data analysis and reports, and assist with variance analysis.
Assist with implementing effective financial controls, including system reconciliations and ensuring the integrity of reported figures.
Support management of overall financial forecasting processes.
Support internal and external audits.
Perform other relevant tasks as requested by management.

Required Experience

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Accounting or Finance or related field.

At least 5 years in a similar role within a multinational company.

Excellent interpersonal skills to work with all individuals.

Deadline-driven to ensure completion of assigned tasks.

Proactive with the ability to think ahead in a fast-paced environment.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel formulas and functions.
