Overview
The Procurement Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the company’s purchasing activities, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services. This role involves developing procurement strategies, negotiating with suppliers, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage procurement strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best pricing, terms, and quality.
- Manage procurement activities for projects, operations, and maintenance requirements.
- Establish and maintain strong vendor and supplier relationships.
- Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, including quality, delivery, and reliability.
- Ensure all purchases comply with company policies, budget limits, and regulatory requirements.
- Analyze market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings and value improvement.
- Prepare procurement reports, cost analyses, and forecasts for management review.
- Lead and guide the procurement team to achieve departmental KPIs.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other departments to fulfill material and service needs.
- Oversee contract preparation, review, and administration.
- Resolve procurement-related issues, delays, or disputes effectively.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.Minimum 5–8 years experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in engineering, construction, or manufacturing industry.Proven track record in vendor negotiation, contract management, and procurement strategies.#J-18808-Ljbffr
